As the Bookings & Admissions Centre Manager you will have an opportunity to build and shape your own team and instill a culture of excellence in customer service delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leadership and management of efficient patient (including Maternity) admission and discharge processes that include: bookings, admissions and discharges, surgical waiting list management for public patients, patient liaison services & switchboard. 
  • Maintaining customer service at optimum levels, through effective management of human, financial and material resources.  
  • On-going development and management of training & education for all Hospital staff who engage in the administrative processes of WebPAS, to ensure they are skilled and up-to-date in the processes relevant to their position. 
  • Development of and achievement of objectives for the department, in-line with the Hospital’s and Healthscope’s Strategic Plan.
Opening October 2018, Northern Beaches Hospital will be a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding new facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors, allied health and non-clinical staff.
An experienced manager with a passion for developing talent within the team, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Ability to promote a positive and collaborative team work environment and an efficient business culture.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills as well as an ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and complete new tasks and the flexibility to embrace change.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within the scope of the role.
  • Working knowledge of patient management systems (WebPAS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve key result areas for a department, by providing effective leadership and supervision of large teams (>10 FTEs).
  • Professional and pleasant demeanour.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of people, both internal and external.
