Career Medical Officers - Anaesthetics

We want you to join the team at Northern Beaches Hospital.

Do you want to provide excellent acute clinical assistance and support to the team to ensure the delivery of a high quality services? We want to hear from you.

The position will provide medical support to the consultants and nursing staff who work within the hospital with the aim of assisting with improving clinical outcomes and patient management.

To introduce trainees interested in a career in anaesthetics in a wide range of experience available in a new facility at Northern Beaches Hospital.

As a Career Medical Officer your responsibilities will include:
  • Provision of intensive care & anaesthetics services, under the supervision of Consultants in Intensive Care & Anaesthetics & Pain Medicine
  • Acquisition, provision and maintenance of the highest standard of clinical skills
  • Commitment to continuing professional development in accordance with College & Institute requirements
Essential Criteria:
  • Current Medical Practitioner AHPRA Registration
  • PGY5 or more
  • Current Advanced Life Support certification
  • Ability to identify deteriorating patient and provide immediate resuscitation
  • Team player with excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and organisational skills
  • Excellent technical skills including central venous access, arterial lines and endotracheal intubation
  • Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support certification desired

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant CMO experience in accordance with the NSW - Public Hospital Career Medical Officers (State) Award 2018
