As a Chef your responsibilities will include:
  • Working positively as a member of the Food Service Department team and where necessary accept guidance from the Food Services Manager and the more senior food service staff
  • Provide an excellent standard of patient care/customer service that meets the needs of all patients/customers at this facility
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP and all associated food preparation, meal delivery, dietary, hygiene/cleaning requirements.
  • Ability to keep pace with peers and working in a friendly positive, safe and organized manner while maintaining food service standards
  • Maintain food stock levels
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop  team members to deliver exceptional service

Selection Criteria:
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
  • Reliable, team orientated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Compassionate, motivated, positive outlook
  • Excellent time management and people skills together with a logical and methodical approach to the work at hand
  • General knowledge of computers and have the ability to, after training, use the Food Service Department’s computerised systems
  • Good employment track record
  • Available for shifts over a 7 day roster including weekend work
  • Leadership Experience in restaurant/hotel food service environment highly regarded
