We current have the opportunity for an enthusiastic Part time (0.7 EFT) Grade 2 Dietician to join our Allied Health team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics.
Key responsibilities:
  • Provision of dietetics clinical expertise in an acute and sub-acute setting, including ICU
  • Supervision of junior staff and students
  • Support of the outpatient dietetics service.
  • Ongoing professional development and quality improvement
Knox Private Hospital is the largest private hospital in the eastern and south eastern corridor of Melbourne. We operate 359 patient beds, 11 theatres, a 24 hour Emergency Department, an on-site medical team, a 10 bed Intensive Care Unit, a 10 bed Coronary Care Unit and a Day Procedure Unit. Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
  • Current Accredited Practicing Dietitian Status
  • Acute hospital experience and ICU experience preferred
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Proven excellence in customer service delivery
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
  • Proven Leadership ability
  • Experience in staff and student supervision
