An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Senior Psychologist to take on a leadership position within the Allied Health team at The Victoria Clinic.

 

This role would involve coordinating as well as working within inpatient and outpatient therapy programs. In particular, it would require the individual to oversee the Schema Therapy-related programs, as well as contributing to the wellbeing of Allied Health staff and students via supervision and leadership support.

 

 

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Postgraduate degree in Psychology and full registration with AHPRA
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Ability to supervise students and other staff
  • A good working knowledge and experience with Schema Therapy, particularly modes work
  • Experience working with clients with a range of mental health issues
  • Experience working with clients in both groups and individually, preferrably in both an inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Current police check

 

 

 

The Victoria Clinic is 52 bed private psychiatric facility located on Malvern Road in Prahran and specialises in the provision of high quality inpatient and outpatient mental health services. The clinic offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care to our customers.

      

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Schema Therapy programs at TVC
  • Provide group therapy and individual sessions to psychiatric clients
  • Provide psychological assessment services to people with a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an outpatient setting
  • Work within and provide clinical leadership and supervision to a multi-disciplinary team
  • Liaise with referrers, relatives, and other services as required
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate
