Our Ward Clerks provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. This is a great role for an experienced and patient care focused individual who is wanting to achieve work-life balance and a dynamic career in Healthcare.  The hours of this role will be primarily worked across the Clinical Wards.  The Nurse Unit Managers encourage autonomy and appreciate proactive thinkers who are genuine team players.


As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service through every interaction with patients, visitors and staff
  • Reception duties including management of incoming and outgoing calls
  • Patient admission and discharge process on WebPAS
  • Management of patient records ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information
  • Collating medical records
  • Undertaking general administration duties
  • Liaison with other areas of the Hospital
  • Arranging patient transport for discharge and interfacility transfer
  • Coordinating patient transportation for diagnostic tests and appointments

Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose built private hospital located in Park Central, the ever-growing medical hub of Campbelltown.  Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 52 Surgical beds, 16 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit.  We offer excellent employee conditions with extensive support offered by our Management team.  Our specialities include Orthopaedics, Bariatric, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, Urology and General, including Laparoscopic work, Colorectal, Dental, Pain Management, Gynaecology and Gastroenterology.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience within a private hospital setting
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
  • A track record of providing great service and customer experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Good computer literacy and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to build strong rapport with patients, staff and VMOs
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
