What Does the Role Look Like?

As a Rostering Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our services. Here’s what to expect:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain staff rosters to cover all shifts and appointments according to client needs and service requirements. Manage both regular schedules and last-minute changes.
  • Communication: Serve as the main contact for staff, clients, and other stakeholders regarding scheduling and roster inquiries. Resolve any issues promptly.
  • Resource Allocation: Match staff skills and availability with client needs to ensure optimal coverage and balanced workloads.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of staff hours, shifts, and roster adjustments using rostering software.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to SCHADS and company policies. Prepare and present reports on staffing and scheduling metrics.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve scheduling conflicts and coverage gaps. Implement swift solutions to minimize service disruptions.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the management team to understand service requirements and support operational goals. Assist in training new staff on scheduling processes as needed.

To Be Successful in This Role

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in scheduling/rostering in an administrative capacity
  • Experience with rostering software
  • Knowledge of Disability Services and Support plans
  • Demonstrated empathy and caring attitude
  • Valid NDIS check
  • Fully COVID vaccinated
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Relevant qualifications are favourable, but we will train the right candidate in-house
