An opportunity is available for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic leadership team to promote and lead patient centred care for the Orthopaedic Service at Norwest Private Hospital.

Our Orthopaedic Ward is a 55-bed ward, with an experienced orthopaedic multidisciplinary team, who offer treatment and care for a full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. This includes hip, knee and shoulder arthritis, sports injuries, spinal conditions, hand, shoulder, elbow, wrist and foot disorders, trauma and paediatric orthopaedic conditions.
The Clinical Co-ordinator will assist the Nurse Unit Manager in leading the nursing team in delivering evidence-based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes within the allocated resources. About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent clinical and interpersonal skills to the team with a strong customer service focus. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities. You will also have:
· A minimum of four years’ experience in Orthopaedic Nursing
· A strong commitment to patient experience and relationship centred care
· Demonstrrted ability to coordinate and lead patient care teams, including efficient patient flow and support the Orthopaedic Outreach Model of care.
· Demonstrated focus on ensuring patient and team safety, providing direction and support.
· Demonstrated positive inter-professional relationships with VMO’S, nursing team members and Allied Health to enable high quality patient outcomes.
· Advanced communication skills and solution focused.
· Demonstrated ability to lead a quality improvement project.
· Willingness to invest in own professional development.
· Ability to work Monday to Friday morning shifts.
Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant post-graduate qualification or willingness to work towards.
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024
