The opportunity
Brisbane Private Hospital Theatres team have an opportunity for experienced perioperative leader to join our Theatre leadership team on a full-time basis in the role of Theatre Nurse Unit Manager.
Reporting to our Perioperative Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership within the theatre complex. Key responsibilities include:
· Operational leadership to floor coordinators, nursing and orderly teams
· Rostering, clinical audits & people leadership

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
About you
As an experienced leader you will have extensive experience working in a fast-paced theatre complex (approximately 450 procedures pw).
You will have demonstrated proven experience, or a keen interest in people development and leading team culture whilst having a thorough depth of knowledge in ACORN & National Standards. To be successful, you will have:
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Rostering experience
· Experience leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
· Ability to communicate with influence
· Proven time management and prioritisation skills
· Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
· A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
