Nepean Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Orderly to join our team. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieving high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, in this fast paced and varied environment. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to this role on a long term basis following extensive training for the role.

Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As an Orderly your responsibilities will include:
· Patient Assistance and transfers including the use of lifting machine and bed movers.
· General housekeeping duties e.g. cleaning beds, organising linen, restocking of equipment, and waste management
- Remove dirty linen / ensure clean linen is readily available
· Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
· Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
· Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
- Work as an active team member to support all work tasks
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Experience as an theatre orderly or in a hospital environment (desirable)
- Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement
- Working with Children check
- Commitment to service excellence
- Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- High level attention to detail
