Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

About the Opportunity:
An exciting casual opportunity exists for motivated and experienced nurses to join our Endoscopy team. About You:
Based in the Endoscopy Unit, this role will see you provide care for patients within general surgical areas. As an integral team member, you will support the general function of the unit using best practice principles and education whilst drawing upon your extensive surgical experience.
· Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
· Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
· Providing quality care to patients undergoing Endoscopy and minor procedures. Includes pre/intra and post procedure care
· Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of health care including preparing patients for discharge
· Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by risk management guidelines
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Previous procedural endoscopy experience (essential)
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
- Strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve our patient’s care outcomes relevant to the Day Procedure Unit
