Join our dynamic team as a Senior Perioperative Nurse within the newly formed Theatre Optimisation work stream. This senior leadership role is essential in driving exceptional hospital performance and enhancing operational efficiency across our theatre environments. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate centrally with various workstreams, playing a pivotal role in improving employee experience, embedding consistent operating rhythms, uplifting theatre utilisation, and optimising labour management.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance Employee Experience: Develop and implement strategies to improve job satisfaction and work environment for theatre staff, facilitate professional development programs, and address employee feedback effectively.
• Embed Consistent Operating Rhythms: Standardise best practices for theatre operations, collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to monitor procedures, and analyse performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Uplift Utilisation and Labour Management: Optimise theatre resource use, maximise theatre utilisation, develop labour management strategies, and align staffing with operational needs while enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.

Criteria:

Examples

·       Experience in Perioperative leadership

·       Current Registration with AHPRA

·       Working with Children check (if relevant)

·       Specialty nursing experience (desired)

·       Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·       Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·       Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
