Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist looking for a rewarding place to work?
Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health team on a part time basis one day a week on a Wednesday.
This opportunity will see you work across a diverse mix of inpatient rehabilitation cases including medical, orthopaedic, neurological, reconditioning and geriatric patients. You may also care for acute inpatients, day rehabilitation and cardiac rehab.
As a Speech Pathologist, you will work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and efficient services and exceptional patient care.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct.
Specialities include; 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. As a Speech Pathologist your key responsibilities will include:
· Provision of speech pathology assessment
· Treatment and discharge planning for acute hospital inpatients as well as rehabilitation inpatients and day patients
· Clinical documentation and report writing are to be of the highest standard.
· Compliance with hospital policy and procedure.
· Participation in audits and service improvement activities is also required
About you:
To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the requirements below:
· A degree in Speech Pathology
· Previous acute hospital experience
· Eligibility for membership to Speech Pathology Australia
· Video Fluoroscopy Swallow Study ( VFSS) and tracheostomy management preferred but not essential
· Exceptional time management and communication skills
· Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
· Commitment to professional development
