Tweed Day Surgery is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Storeperson to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you'll ensure the seamless management of hospital supplies, directly influencing the quality of care our patients receive.

Your responsibilities will include conducting regular stock counts and reordering supplies to maintain optimal levels, ensuring uninterrupted patient care. You'll also monitor and adjust minimum and maximum stock levels in response to usage fluctuations, maintaining balance and efficiency. Daily communication with team members and hospital staff will be crucial to address any stock-related issues that may impact patient care.

Safety is paramount in this role. You'll be expected to apply manual handling policy and procedures for all lifting, pushing, and pulling processes to ensure personal and team safety. Additionally, you'll utilise safe driving techniques when operating forklifts and other hospital vehicles, adhering to all safety protocols.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Physical capability to handle manual tasks and lift items as required.
  • You'll have the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and strong attention to detail.
  • Full Australian working rights.
