Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking several Wardsperson’s to join our dynamic team on a casual basis.

As a wardsperson you will be deployed across a 24/7 range of shifts throughout the hospital to provide non-clinical support to the nursing team including: patient lifting; patient transportation; restock supplies; collection & delivery of equipment & specimens. 

You will combine your passion for patient centred care and take pride in an environment which is encouraging, warm and welcoming for our staff, patients and doctors.

As an Wardsperson your responsibilities will include:

  •          Safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre
  •          Provide safe effective patient handling and positioning.
  •          Maintaining a safe patient environment including the setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures
  •          Providing support to the nursing staff

Essential Criteria:

  •          Authority to Work in Australia
  •          Prior experience in a hospital environment
  •          Prior experience in a similar role will be highly reagrded
  •          Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent (desirable)
  •          Hold a valid Working with Children check
  •          Commitment to service excellence
  •          Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
  •          Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
  •          High level attention to detail
  •          Able to work a 7- day rotating roster including Night shifts.
