About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for experienced Administration Officers to work on a part time basis over 7 days. This is a busy role where are you are the first point of contact for our patients, visitors and staff, you should love working in a dynamic role meeting and greeting, managing phones and completing administrative work.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include:
This opportunity will see you join our team as an all-rounder to assist where required, your duties will vary day to day and may include:
· Manage a busy reception desk
· Answer and redirect calls
· Prepare admission paperwork
· Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
· Perform Health Fund Checks as required
· Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments
· Coordinate with staff from other departments
· Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Essential Criteria:
· Previous reception/administration experience
· Prior experience in the health industry would be advantageous
· Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
· Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts
· Experience working with patient management system (Desirable)
