Administration Officer

Full-time Role

Darwin Private Hospital has vacancies for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Administration team. 

 

As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
    • Manage a busy reception desk

    • Answer and redirect calls

    • Prepare admission paperwork

    • Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits

  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records

  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required

  • Manage the collection of excesses/co payments

  • Coordinate with staff from other departments

  • Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

 

Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.In February 2021, a purpose built 18 bed inpatient Mental Health & AoD Unit, The Darwin Clinic, opened a new service for patients in the Northern Territory. It also incorporates a dedicated Day Rehabilitation Program. 

Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and even offshore. We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Flexible to work early and late shifts
  • WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
