About the role:
NorthPark Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our consulting suites team. You will join a friendly team of professionals who pride themselves on offering outstanding service and high- quality care to all patients. This is a great role for experienced and patient care-focused individuals who want to achieve a dynamic career in healthcare.

NorthPark Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors and dedicated nurses will ensure that your experience is the best it can be. At NorthPark, we offer a wide range of surgical and medical services including a leading mental health support via a range of day programs with inpatient support, maternity services and an early parenting unit.
NorthPark Private Hospital is located on the corner of Plenty Road and Greenhill's Road Bundoora, close to public transport and on-site parking at a minimal cost is available.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet all patients
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and redirect calls
- Organise appointments, reschedule, reminder SMS confirming booking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Manage collection of consultation fees via electronic payment
- Liaising with different departments within the hospital, other GP clinics and hospitals
- Accurate computer data entry
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in healthcare with exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Exceptional computer skills - MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends between 8 am - 9 pm
- Zedmed experience (desired)
