At this time, Northern Beaches Medical Centre invite applications for our Casual Administration Officer vacancy. The Northern Beaches Medical Centre is a busy medical practice adjacent to the Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) Emergency Department. The role is responsible for the provision of high quality administrative support services to General Practitioners, medical personnel and to the community at large

 

You will make an impact by:

  • Undertaking reception duties including meet and greet patients & take all incoming calls
  • Update and maintain confidentiality of patient records
  • Ensure patients are billed in an accurate and timely manner
  • End-of-day reconciliations and banking 
  • Deliver excellent customer service in each and every interaction

The bulk-bill NBH Medical Centre offers walk-in services. The Medical Centre is the staff health practice, including provision of immunisations, management of needle stick injuries etc. The Centre’s clinical staff will include GPs, nurses & allied health. This walk-in, bulk-billing medical practice operates Monday to Friday 9am to 2000. Saturday 9am to 1830 and Sunday 10am – 1700

 

As a high performing team member you will have:  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients
  • Medical reception experience in a busy medical centre
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of and experience with Australian health insurance schemes and patient billing arrangements
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • Competent in  using various software packages (preferably patient record and healthcare related)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise work while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Attention to detail.
