Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Administration Team Leader to support our Administration Operations Manager in leading a large team of administration officers.

This full-time role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact by training, developing staff, and driving process improvements within our dynamic healthcare environment.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of administration officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of service and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Administration Operations Manager to streamline administrative processes and enhance overall team performance.
  • Monitor and manage workload distribution, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key point of contact between administration staff and other hospital departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and effective record management systems, including the preparation and management of medical records.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an administrative or healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Highly organized with excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for process improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience with patient management systems (desirable).
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
