About the Role
Physiotherapy Assistant - Permanent, full-time (76 hours per fortnight)
This position is a full-time role that will see you responsible for assisting Physiotherapists with providing a high-quality physiotherapy service to inpatients and/or outpatients of the Northern Beaches Hospital.
The role will assist in implementing therapeutic activities and patient related administration duties under the direction of the Physiotherapy Manager and Physiotherapists. The Physiotherapy Assistant is a front-line clinical position that will support exercise, mobility and other therapeutic programs as established by the Physiotherapist in order to assist patients reach their treatment goals. This position includes participation in rostered weekend shifts.
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III / IV in Allied Health Assistance (or a commitment to work towards obtaining the same)
- Previous experience working in a similar role within an acute hospital
- Ability to work under the direct supervision of a Physiotherapist as well as independently with direction for clinical and administrative tasks
- Ability to support patients with treatments in both group and 1:1 settings
- Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, complete activities and manage time effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills within the MDT

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant Allied Health Assistant experience against the current Healthscope– NSW– Enterprise Agreement 2023, a salary ranging from $ 28.67-32.41 (grading dependent) per hour plus loading.
