Our Unit 7 provides specialised treatment for Addictive Behaviours. With specialised Substance Withdrawal Program and a Rehabilitation Program, these programs help participants to gain clarity and insight into the underlying reasons for addiction.   Unit 7 nurtures a safe and supportive environment setting in which participants develop skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal communication, relapse prevention and managing urges and cravings.  If this is an area that you are passionate about, this role will allow you to develop your clinical skills whilst being supported by our passionate Nurse Unit Manager and leadership team.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

·        Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement

·        Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.

·        Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.

·        Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources

·        Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives

·        Undertaking direct patient care, as required

 

Essential Criteria:

·        Current Registration with AHPRA

·        Mental Health Nursing experience

·        Experience with medical withdrawal, Opiate withdrawal (Desirable)

·        Managing substance withdrawal and associated risks

·        Sound clinical decision making and ability to manage and respond to physical and mental deterioration

·        Working with Children check

·        Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·        Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·        Excellent communication and customer service skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025" (salaries range between $54.1268 and $55.94 per hour).
