The Role
Applications are sought from suitable candidates wanting to work as an Assistant in Nursing as part of our dynamic nursing team.
As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in direct delivery of patient care
- Assisting the Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team
- Provide patient centred care
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Qualities:
- Certificate III (from an approved training provider) in Health Services Assistance- Acute Care or 2nd year undergraduates studying RN
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work and use initiative
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing is desirable
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Genuine willingness to help others
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to nursing
- Flexibility with shift availability: range of shifts available including 4/6/7.5hour shifts, day/evening/nights
