Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with sound experience in Peri-Anaesthetics?  We need you to assist our Peri-Anaesthetics Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership and clinical support of the PACU team.
 
 
 
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the unit to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients
  • With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
  • You will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human and material resources
 
 
 
 

Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including a twenty four hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.  The hospital is growing to 13 operating theatres, 1 hybrid theatres plus 2 dedicated Endoscopy suites and a brand new Day Procedure Complex, which offer a broad range of specialities including Cardiac, Neuro, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular, Hepatobiliary, Maxillofacial, ophthalmology and General Surgery. Selection Criteria:
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Grade 2, Year 5 or above
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Working with Children check
  • minimum 3 years Experience within peri-anaesthetics
  • perioperative post grad studies (preferred)
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive role modelling behaviours
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
