Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse ready to assume the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager or already an Associate Nurse Unit Manager looking for a change? We have positions vacant at The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre which may be right for you.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the ward to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.  
  • You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based. 
  • With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.  

The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre is a large rehabilitation facility. The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre offers an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. Our specialties include orthopaedics, stroke, cardiac, restorative, respiratory, pain management. The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care to our customers.

Selection Criteria: 

  • Current Registration with AHPRA  
  • Current Police Check (within the last 12 months)
  • Working with Children’s Check – employee
  • blood serology testing (dated in last 12 months)
  • Experience in the Acute / Rehabilitation setting
  • Grade 2, Year 4 or above 
  • Sound clinical knowledge 
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards 
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills 
  •  Positive role modelling behaviours
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment 
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
  • Willing to work a rotating roster including night duty and weekends
