Billing Officer/Administration Officer

The Geelong Clinic is a 73 bed private Psychiatric hospital that has recently expanded and offers a wide range of inpatient and day programs supported by an Outreach service for individuals requiring mental health care. Located on the outskirts of Geelong, within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions, the hospital operates two busy onsite outpatient practices which have additional capacity as part of our expansion project. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual who has a commitment to a high standard of customer focused care, excellent time management and organisational skills to join our team.

As a Billing Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate and timely billing of Health Fund and Third Party invoices
  • Field patient billing enquiries and provide resolution
  • Banking and Debtor Management
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of Health Fund contracts
  • Manage Daily/weekly/monthly reports
  • Provide support to administration team

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy and accurate data entry skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of Patient Management System i.e. WebPas
  • Commitment to quality improvement processes
  • Works well independently and within a team
