The Opportunity
Our Business Development Manager role offers the opportunity to work as part of the leadership team at Sydney’s prestigious Prince of Wales Private Hospital. This position is ideal for someone who is ready to take on an executive role in the healthcare industry in a challenging and rewarding position.
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to support this vibrant hospital, someone who can develop and implement strategies in alignment with our clinical services plan. In this role, you’ll focus on strengthening relationships with specialists, fostering engagement and expanding our hospital network.
As a key member of the Hospital executive, you’ll also act as the primary contact for GPs and health professionals, promoting hospital services, improving access to care and enhancing communication between our hospitals, specialists and primary care providers.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with specialists and GPs
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the hospital’s growth targets
- Lead initiatives to generate referrals and expand clinical services
- Identify and promote new services within defined priority specialties.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will:
- Have prior experience in private hospitals or sales in medical or device industries
- Have excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Possess the ability to articulate complex commercial proposals and use data to drive decisions
- Be self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a proven track record of meeting growth targets in healthcare or hospital environments.
Qualifications
· Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor’s in Business or a health-related field)
Key Attributes:
- Strong understanding of hospital operations and growth strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders
- Outstanding communicator, both oral and written.
