About the opportunity 

Join the team at Melbourne Private Hospital as a Cardiac Technologist! We’re looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Cath Lab team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team, ensuring exceptional patient care is being delivered.

 

Cardiac Technologists employed at Melbourne Private are responsible for providing high quality patient care and clinical expertise during Cardiac Interventions and Electrophysiology procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Cardiac Technologists are responsible for patient preparation, haemodynamic monitoring, assisting cardiologists with procedures, report preparation as well as intracardiac pacing and electrophysiological manoeuvres during ablation procedures. Learning ability, particularly with respect to new technology is key. Ability to work in a team setting is essential.


Melbourne Private Hospital have provided a range of acute medical and surgical healthcare services to our community for over 20 years. We are a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.

 

As a Cardiac Technologist, your responsibilities will include: 

Providing high quality patient care and clinical expertise during Cardiac Interventions and Electrophysiology procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Cardiac Technologists are responsible for patient preparation, haemodynamic monitoring, assisting cardiologists with procedures, report preparation as well as intracardiac pacing and electrophysiological manoeuvres during ablation procedures. Learning ability, particularly with respect to new technology is key. Ability to work in a team setting is essential.
 

Essential Criteria:

  • Authority to work in Australia
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Bachelor of Health Science (BioMed/Nursing etc.) or equivalent
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA and ASAR registration
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, customer-focused approach

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current allied health professionals Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria – Allied Health Professionals Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $44.54 and $53.58 per hour + superannuation)
