Are you looking for an opportunity to join the Healthscope team? National Capital Private Hospital is looking to employ Casual staff for the Support Services Team. We are looking for bright enthusiastic people for the positions of Domestic Cleaning; catering and Ward Orderly.
National Capital Private Hospital is a 148 bed accredited hospital located in central Canberra, and co-located on the Canberra Hospital campus in Garran.

 

The Domestic Cleaning staff will provide cleaning to patients and be supported by the Support Services Manager. Ideally you would have previously worked in a similar environment and be a team player, motivated, and able to communicate to staff and patients and demonstrate a high level of initiative. However experience in this role is not essential as all training will be provided.

 

Catering Staff will deliver and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays. Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly. Clean and maintain food service areas in accordance with hospital and industry and food safety and hygiene standards.

 

The Ward Orderlies will play a role in providing support and assistance to nursing staff and transport of patients and cleaning duties which include cleaning of patient rooms and will be supported by the Support Services Manager. Ideally you would have previously worked in a hospital environment and be a team player, motivated, and able to communicate to staff and patients, and demonstrate a high level of initiative.

 


 

As a Support Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high standard of cleaning services
  • Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients



 

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in a Hospital/Hotel setting may be an advantage 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
