As a Chef your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment
- Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guide
- Maintain food stock levels
- Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards
- Implement Food Safety Program
- Liaise with management and facility staff
- Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional service
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and surgical services. Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
- Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
- Available for shifts over a 7 day roster including weekend work
- Experience in hospital or hotel food service environment preferred
