An opportunity exists for a qualified Chef / Cook to join our well established and highly reputable Catering Department. We offer a supportive atmosphere, with an extensive education program so you get to work in a role that offers you work-life balance.



As a Chef your responsibilities will include:
  • Experience in large volume cookery, cold larder and Bulk cookery
  • Help create innovative, modern cuisine for our amazing patients and staff
  • Meal and food preparation for patients as per national menu guide
  • 7 DAY ROSTER, No late nights 6.00pm finish
  • Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards
  • Strong understanding of HACCP Food Safety Program
  • Liaise with management and facility staff
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop  team members to deliver exceptional service


Brisbane Private Hospital is a 181 bed facility which provides acute, surgical, rehabilitation, drug and alcohol and intensive care services.



Selection Criteria:
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
  • Available for shifts over a 7 day roster including weekend work
  • Experience in hospital or hotel food service environment preferred
