Darwin Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Medical/Surgical and Rehab Ward. We pride ourselves on quality care for our patients and their families. You will be provided many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing skill sets.
You will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.
Key Duties and responsibilities will include:
· Utilising a structured approach carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
· Implement planned evidence-based nursing interventions within your scope of practice
· Demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and procedures and management of patients seeking outstanding care
· Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
· Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
· Complies with organizational policies, procedures and guideline

Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. About you
· Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
· Recent nursing leadership experience on a medical/surgical or rehab ward
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
· Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
Pre-Employment checks
· National Police Clearance
· NT WWC
· Proof of Immunisation
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and the Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement - 2021-2024 ($52.09 and $55.66 per hour)
