Full Time Position
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist who will be responsible for providing leadership to the Rehabilitation Ward team to ensure efficient and effective patient management.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist your responsibilities will include:
- To work as part of the health care team
- adhere to Healthscope policies and procedures, participate in working parties or committees (as required) demonstrate a commitment to Quality improvement, Work, Health and Safety and achievement of hospital accreditation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Ability to establish a professional working relationship with all health care workers
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and surgical services. Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Relevant post-registration qualifications and a minimum 3 years’ experience working in a rehabilitation ward setting
- Demonstrated experience in case managing complex admissions
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating clinical outcome measures, managing complex clinical issues and recommending strategies to progress
- Working with the Nurse Unit Manager to foster a strong collaborative team environment
