CSSD Level 5 Supervisor

The CSSD Supervisor will assist in maintaining the integrity, care and handling of all surgical instruments, sterile stock and equipment in line with competencies, and The Mount Policies and reports to the CSSD Manager.
- Maintain the integrity, care and handling of all instruments, sterile stock, linen, supplies and equipment whilst maintaining a safe clean environment using only authorised cleaning products and adhering to Infection Control Guidelines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all CSSD Australian Standards
- Initiates and maintains effective communication lines and teamwork/ collaboration within the CSSD and Operating Theatres.
- Acts as a technical resource for CSSD staff and other departments, providing appropriate support and advise ensuring safe standards are maintained.
- Overseeing the delivery of high-standard, evidence-based sterilisation services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments, includes the rostering and monthly auditing.
- Ensuring compliance with AS 5369:2023 standard in the planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of cleaning, sterilisation, and instrument packing procedures.
- Providing strong clinical leadership, including direction, support, supervision, training, and guidance for CSSD Technicians.
About You
You will be professional with excellent interpersonal skills, highly developed customer service skills, and the ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision.
To be successful in this role, you will hold:
- Certificate III in Sterilization Services.
- Preferably Certificate IV
- Preferably 2 years of experience in CSSD Supervisory role
- Ability to teach within the CSSD and related areas
- Able to coordinate, liaise and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team members
- Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
