About the Role

As a CSSD Instrument Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting safe, high‑quality surgical care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring sterilisation practices comply with AS 5369 (2023) and infection prevention standards
• Working across all CSSD areas including Decontamination, Packing, Sterilisation and Loans
• Operating, monitoring and documenting machinery according to operational requirements
• Completing accurate documentation and reporting quality‑related activities
• Demonstrating flexibility to work morning/afternoon shifts and weekends as required

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 1 year experience as a CSSD Instrument Technician
• Certificate III in Sterilising Services (or currently working towards)
• Commitment to maintaining current skills and professional knowledge
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Well‑organised with initiative and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
