About the Role
As a CSSD Instrument Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting safe, high‑quality surgical care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring sterilisation practices comply with AS 5369 (2023) and infection prevention standards
- Working across all CSSD areas including Decontamination, Packing, Sterilisation and Loans
- Operating, monitoring and documenting machinery according to operational requirements
- Completing accurate documentation and reporting quality‑related activities
- Demonstrating flexibility to work morning/afternoon shifts and weekends as required
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 1 year experience as a CSSD Instrument Technician
- Certificate III in Sterilising Services (or currently working towards)
- Commitment to maintaining current skills and professional knowledge
- Strong customer service focus and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Well‑organised with initiative and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
