Are you a skilled Customer Service focused individual looking to take on a challenging role with a diverse portfolio, within a fast growing and innovative Healthcare company? Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants to join our Procurement & Supply Chain team in the role of Customer Service Officer.

Based in our Corporate Head Office in Melbourne, the Customer Service Officer will be responsible for providing support to the procurement and supply chain function. The team focuses on delivering an efficient and cost-effective day to day purchasing function for goods and services for Healthscope facilities, which contributes to the overall performance of the Hospital business.

As the Customer Service Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide an exceptional customer centric purchasing and support service

  • Obtaining written quotations on clinical and non-clinical products and services.

  • Place purchase orders on the system when required to support the site Supply staff on the purchasing of goods and services.

  • Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Assist in the expediting of outstanding purchase orders as required.
  • Identifying critical and high value items for which agreements are required and bring it to the attention of the Procurement Operations Manager.
  • Maintaining concise, complete and orderly records.
  • Provide product information and assistance to user departments as requested.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of inter hospital and inter supplier relationships to assure the requirements and standards of the hospital are met.
  • Assist THE Procurement Operations Manager on specific projects as required.
  • Perform other purchasing duties as may be required.
  • Identify and report opportunities for continuous improvement to procedures resulting in cost savings and quality improvement.
  • Participate in and contribute to ERP related projects as directed, including system maintenance.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years in an Administrative Role
  • ERP purchasing system experience (Familiarity with TechnologyOne an advantage)
  • Demonstrated customer focus
  • High level problem solving ability, sense of urgency and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Relevant commercial experience
  • Negotiation, and time management and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel), data manipulation and analysis
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
