As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Manage the up time of the data platform by monitoring and performing continuous improvement to existing data pipelines,

Build data pipelines using cloud technologies on Snowflake, Azure data stack, and Power BI Premium,
-
Design and implement end to end data warehouse building using replication tool (Fivetran / HVR / Qlik Replicate), Azure Data Factory and dbt into our Datawarehouse that is hosted in Snowflake,

Work with the team to design, build and maintain the processes and governance around the data platform (CI/CD, Code Reviews, Testing, Change Advisory Board) to ensure quality of the code and data remains robust,

Build complex SQL scripts to provide ad-hoc data extracts and analysis,

Maintain data platform’s user access, permissions, and reporting schedules across the BI production environment,

Work and manage relationships within the team with analysts and BI developers to deliver insight to the business,

Work and manage relationships within the team with IT stakeholders to maintain data platform,
-
Additional responsibilities include helping Analyst team in building PowerBI Dataset and/or performing analytical
-
Develop and implement testing plans for newly developed solutions,
-
Develop and maintain data definition and technical documentation,
-
Improve BI production support processes and update procedure documentation.

About you:

Exceptional SQL and Data Engineering skills,

Experience with Snowflake,
-
Experience with Python and Azure Data Factory,
-
Experience with dbt and understanding how dbt work,
-
Experience with configuring CI/CD pipeline using GitHub/Azure DevOps,
-
Experience with building and managing PowerBI dataset or SSAS Tabular model (preferably via Tabular Editor) and PowerBI API,
-
Experience working with PowerShell and Linux Shell script,
-
High attention to detail whilst remaining adaptable to dynamic changes in the business to ensure Data Platform can support ongoing business needs,
-
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills,
-
Extensive experience and understanding in dimensional data warehouse design and implementation,
-
Bonus: experience MS BI stack (SQL Server data platform, T-SQL and SSIS),
-
Bonus: experience with Container,
-
A degree in Business or IT/Information Systems/Statistics/Computer science,
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
