Director of Clinical Training 

2 Years part-time contract (7 hours a week)

About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Medical Services, the position is responsible for the operations of Medical Registrar Clinical Training Service (CTS) at Mount Hospital including overseeing the clinical instruction, and supervision of the junior medical workforce (registrars) in the clinical disciplines in which registrars are appointed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation of themedical registrars clinical training servicein conjunction with the Director of Medical Services with a dotted line to the General Managerin accordance withdaily operational processes.
  • Responsibility for hospital, College (RACP) and/or PMCWA assessments if/asrequired(principally for those registrars rotating from FSH and RPH)
  • Co-ordinate and administer the teaching programs for registrars appointed to theMountHospital
  • Provide support to ensure that all relevanthospital-level accreditationsincluding andnot limited to ACHS accreditation, Post Graduate Medical Council WA accreditation, Department of Health Licensing, and other regulatory bodiesasrequired
  • Attend and be an active participant in Mount Hospital's Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings as and when scheduled
  • Maintain accreditation as a specialist medical practitioner at Mount Private Hospital in accordance with Healthscope's Bylaws.

 Essential Criteria:

  • Hold registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with specialty qualifications, preferably in Cardiology
  • Have relevant post-graduate qualifications
