Enrolled Nurse-Permanent full time position

We are seeking an experienced enrolled nurse who is highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital, Medical/Surgical ward on a part time basis. You will play a key role within our team, delivering exceptional patient care. We are looking for a caring and customer service focused nurse. Do these characteristics describe you?

For over 20 years our dedicated team of healthcare professionals have provided care to patients in greater western Sydney.

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital has 98 patient-beds and provides a large range of medical and acute services including; seven operating theatres, Angiography suite, 10 bed Intensive Care Unit as well as a Day Surgery Unit, Mental Health Unit, Oncology Department as well as pharmacy and radiology services.

In collaboration with a large range of accredited private specialists Sydney Southwest Private are leader in comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialties including, but not limited to, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, ear nose and throat, general and plastic surgery, gastroenterology and endoscopy and gynaecology, bariatric surgery, urology and mental health services. 

As a Enrolled Nurse your responsibilities will include:

·               Provide evidenced based nursing care

·               Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

·               Ensure patient and staff safety

·               Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

·               Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Essential Criteria:

·               Current Registration with AHPRA

·               Working with Children check (if relevant)

·               Specialty nursing experience (desired)

·               Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·               Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·               Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

·               Excellent communication and customer service skills

·               Works well independently and within a team

·               Basic computer skills
