Are you an Enrolled Nurse with excellent interpersonal and a passion for delivering high quality patient care?  Our orthopaedic ward has part time positions – 24 hours per week on their team. Working collaboratively with other nursing staff and practitioners you will be involved with care and monitoring of patients and ensure the best care during their stay.

You should able to be available across a 24/7 roster including weekends.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include

·       Supporting patients throughout their stay

·       Maintain positive relationships with patients, families, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures

·       Effectively worked within scope of practice, demonstrated clinical competencies and comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes including recognition and timely response to patient deterioration

·       Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

·       Ensure patient and staff safety

·       Assist nursing staff with supporting patients with care of patients.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience as an Enrolled Nurse in a surgical ward hospital setting
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
