The Opportunity
Do you enjoy working in a supportive team environment with a focus on excellent patient-centred care? This could be the job for you! An Endorsed Enrolled Nurse opportunity exists for qualified and motivated nurses to join our 28-bed mixed specialty acute surgical ward (within an established nursing team).
Key functions include:
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Deliver safe, research-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Medication endorsed EN may administer medications according to state law and organisation policy
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration (essential)
- Enrolled Nurse qualification in Monitoring and Administering IV Medications
- Previous experience working in an acute surgical/ medical environment or similar
- A willingness and availability to work across all shifts, including day, afternoon and night duty shifts (and weekends)
- A commitment to providing excellent patient-centred care
- An ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and model Healthscope’s values
- Experience in urology, colorectal, ENT, plastics and/or neurosurgery (desirable)
