Peninsula Private Hospital is looking to employ a Food Services Assistant/Cook to join their busy catering department. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.
As a Food Services Assistant/Cook your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards
- Cook and prepare patient meals, catering to their dietary requirements
- Experience in a hospital environment or hospitality role, where you have provided services that support high-quality food services for patients, customers and staff
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Peninsula Private is a 62 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 4 operating theatres and 2 day procedure rooms, located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

Selection Criteria:
- Current Food Processing Certificate (working towards or willing to attain)
- Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work
