Northern Beaches invites applications from a dynamic and enthusiastic Guest Services Manager to join our team. As the Guest Services Manager you will make an impact by leading, motivating and inspiring your staff to deliver great service in the housekeeping department. The successful candidate will care about people, staff culture and about building and developing a great team who contribute to the delivery of excellent care and customer service to our patients and visitors. Healthscope Northern Beaches are an accredited training hospital.

 

Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff. NBH is a patient-centred hospital able to provide a full range of health services: including Acute Medicine, Acute Surgery, Allied Health, Outpatients, Anaesthetics, Coronary Care, Emergency Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Intensive Care, Medical Imaging, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Oncology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacy and Renal Dialysis, 13 operating theatres, 1 Hybrid theatre, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories and 4 procedure rooms.

 

 

 Key responsibilities:

  • provide direction and leadership to ensure delivery of high quality cleaning within the hospital
  • be aware of the daily labour requirements and manage staffing accordingly
  • monitor and manage expenditure relating to supplies and consumables
  • facilitate high quality teamwork
  • maintain hygiene standards for patients, staff and visitors
  • conduct regular cleaning audits
  • manage externally contracted linen services
  • provide hands-on services, as required.

 

An experienced Guest Services Manager with a passion for developing talent within the team, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:

  • At least 5 years’ previous management experience within the Healthcare or hospitality industry
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in 4 or 5 star hotel, supervising housekeeping staff
  • Leadership and management qualification or working towards
  • Knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards & EQuIPNational, Work Health and Safety (WHS), Equal Employment Opportunities, Infection Prevention and Control standards, Waste management
  • Proven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
  • Passionate about building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proven high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated skills in workforce planning, rostering and working within budgeted work hours
  • Strong influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt personal style to suit a varied audience & a variety of interpersonal styles
  • Advanced computer literacy & sound knowledge of  Microsoft Office and Kronos
