An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Service team.

 

As a Health Information Services Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Medical record retrieval
  • Provision of health information to internal and external clients
  • Filing of paperwork
  • Filing of medical records
  • Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
  • Participating in performance improvement activities
  • Culling of medical records

John Fawkner Private Hospital is an acute 186 bed facility equipped with a comprehensive range of surgical, medical and diagnostic services; including Operating Theatres, Emergency Department, Critical Care Complex and Day of Surgery Admission Unit. Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
  • Ability to work within deadlines

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products eg. Excel
