Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse ready to undertake this key leadership role? The After-Hours Hospital Coordinator is a pivotal member of the health care team providing after hours’ leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital. We specialise in fostering a dynamic, team-based environment, which is reflected in the best clinical care and warm caring environment.
As an After-Hours Hospital Coordinator you will:
· Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
· Provide leadership across the facility.
· Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) and heads of departments
· Ensure all areas are staffed according to patient acuity and appropriate skill mix
· Coordinate patient admissions
· Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
· Manage multiple tasks and allocate resources appropriately
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
· Current unconditional AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
· Recent experience with the coordination and allocation of human resources within identified KPI’s
· A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and Patient Management Software
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision making abilities to ensure excellence in patient centred care and customer service
· Be a role model for safe practice and commitment to quality patient care
· Ability to apply the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards to clinical decision making
· Understanding of Private Hospital Funding Models
· Well-developed leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of a multi-disciplinary workforce
· The ability establish and maintain rapport with external referral providers
· The ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, their families and colleagues
· The ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios
· Current ALS Certification

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $62.46 - $67.18 per hour.
