The Victorian Rehabilitation Hospitals are  seeking a dedicated professional to work at in our established nursing team.
 

As the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

  • Have overall responsibility and take a leadership role for Infection Prevention & Control practices and strategies. 
  • Have a good understanding of Infection Prevention & Control practices, implementing risk management strategies to protect patients, staff and visitors, from acquiring a healthcare associated infection and provide a healthy working environment for all staff.
  • Ensuring the hospital operates in accordance with applicable standards and complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as striving for continuous improvement.

Healthscope's Victorian Rehabilitation Hospitals comprises of three standalone rehabilitation facilities located across the Melbourne metropolitan region: The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre (Glen Waverley), North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre (Ivanhoe) and Dorset Rehabilitation Centre (Pascoe Vale). Our programs have a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care, across a range of rehabilitation specialties. 

The Victorian Rehabilitation Hospitals are supported by the Executive team, our Corporate Services team and the Healthscope network.


Essential Criteria:

  • Current authority to practice as a registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant health professional qualification and experience, demonstrating a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, clinical experience and skill in acute care nursing and a minimum of three years clinical experience in this area.
  • Exercises professional knowledge in providing complex care and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
