Northern Beaches Hospital is seeking an experienced IT Business Engagement Lead to serve as the primary point of contact for the Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) regarding all matters related to information technology and data. This pivotal role will support the Northern Beaches Executive Team and liaise with both Healthscope IT and NSW Health, ensuring the successful execution of IT related initiatives across the hospital.

As the IT Business Engagement Lead, reporting into the NBH Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating communication, coordinating IT project activities, and driving the delivery of day-to-day IT services. You will ensure that IT projects are aligned with Healthscope’s strategic goals and effectively support hospital operations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Documentation
  • Project Coordination and Oversight
  • Change Management
  • Escalation and Issue Resolution

Your Personal Attributes:

  • In depth knowledge of IT concepts and the ability to apply this knowledge to address business needs in a positive and professional approach
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills resulting in positive relationships with a diverse range of people both internal and external to the facility
  • Demonstrated commitment and provision of exceptional customer service
  • Highly developed negotiation, problem-solving, prioritisation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to achieve results through consultation, advice and facilitation on time whilst managing competing priorities

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:

  • Significant experience managing complex IT environments, with proven success in project management.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills, particularly in managing multiple stakeholder groups to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a proven track record in a complex matrix environment.
  • Solid knowledge of health or hospital operations, with experience in clinical application technology.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and application functions, including aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous people leadership experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to build effective teams and work collaboratively across different organizational structures.
