About the Role

As a Kitchen Hand/Food Services Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the hospital's food services operations. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will assist with meal preparation, food distribution, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with meal preparation, plating, and food service activities
• Delivering meals and beverages to patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage of food supplies
• Adhering to food safety, infection control, and workplace health and safety requirements
• Supporting the catering team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in food services, hospitality, catering, or a similar environment
• A positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Knowledge of food safety practices (desirable)
