Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit. It also has a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region.

What’s Included in the Graduate Program?
- Our 12-month program, available in full-time or part-time roles (minimum 30 hours/week), is designed to help early career nurses and midwives transition into independent practice and enhance their clinical skills. This program is paired with an additional Consolidation Year to ensure you’re well-prepared to succeed.
- One to three rotations within your graduate stream over the 12-month program

What we’ll need from you
Evidence of Australian working rights
Completion of a nursing or midwifery course within the last six months or expected completion at least one month before starting.
Availability for a minimum of 30 hours/week, on a rotating roster including AM, PM, night, weekends, and public holidays.
