Nurse Unit Manager - Anaesthetics
Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join our Anaesthetics Department on a full-time basis. In this fast paced and varied environment, you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
In this position you will be responsible for:
· Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
· Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
· Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
· Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
· Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
· Undertaking direct patient care, as required
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Requirements:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Current ALS and PALS Certificate
- Quality Improvement projects
- Resource management - equipment, staffing, succession planning
- Sound clinical knowledge
- Product/Equipment trial and evaluation
- Focus on the development of our business unit working with the Doctors
- Experience in the Acute setting/relevant to position advanced skills
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive role modelling behaviours
- Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
- High degree of computer literacy
